The Pietro Dal Cerro label is dedicated by the Sons, now owners of the renowned Ca Dei Frati to their Father, a native of Valpolicella. This classic wine from the eastern hills of Verona is a specific dedication to the founder of the winery, to reaffirm the history of the house and to savour again the notes and the wind of those places. Emblem of the territory in the world.
Blend of Corvinia and Corvinone, Rondinella and Coratina. Produced on the estate in the administrative territories of DOC Amarone della Valpolicella in the municipalities of Luxinum and Pian di Castagne. The soils are of calcareous origin with the presence of sand and clay with white flakes. The vines are grown using the classic Guyot method with an average production of 70 quintals per year. Vinification involves a brief drying out in boxes and then maceration in steel tanks where the must and wine remain in contact with the skins for a prolonged period. Malolactic fermentation is fully carried out and then the process closes with ageing in barriques for 24 months followed by 12 months in steel and 24 in the bottle. Characteristics of Amarone Pietro dal Cero Amarone della valpolicella Ca dei frati wine reaches an alcohol content of 17% volume and an overall acidity of 7.5 grams per litre of product. The dry extract is 40 grams per litre. Tasting notes give us a deep and austere garnet red wine.
